A practical introduction to archaeological methods, terminology and practice through study, discussion, field observation and presentation. Develop skills in recording, excavation and observation while exploring archaeological theory and ethics. Part 1 comprises eight Wednesday sessions from 14 October to 9 December 2026, with no session on 18 November. Both parts of the course must be completed to apply for the 2027 excavation project.
