The Great Barn of Wanborough Open Day
Open Day’s on selected Sundays between April and August – see website for more details.
The Great Barn of Wanborough is the oldest and most important wooden building in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, built 630 years ago by the Cistercian monks of Waverley Abbey. It is run by a group of local volunteers.
Every year during the spring and summer months there are open days and activities. When the Barn is open to the public there is an exhibition in the Barn describing its history and local volunteers are present, who can provide guided tours.
The Great Barn is an excellent wedding venue and a few weddings take place at the Barn every year.
Private group visits can also be arranged. Educational visits for local schools also available to book.
Admission is free. Tea and cakes available on Open Days. Dogs are welcome.
