A new play celebrating the extraordinary life and work of trailblazing ceramic artist Clarice Cliff. Her vibrant, joyful patterns represented the new modern spirit of the 1930’s for women, bringing sunshine on a plate into many homes and making her a household name. In public she was described as one of the romances of the pottery trade, but in private she concealed a heart wrenching secret which could have ruined her.
“I was completely engrossed”, “A fascinating story, wonderfully performed”(audience feedback)
